Introduction This page will introduce you to
the methods that we have been using to make regular profit from playing
online slot machines since 2004, using generous casino bonuses. For this it’s good to know at least the basic
facts about slots as detailed below.
If you are already familiar with online slots you only need read the
key points and the overviews in this top section, if you are new to slots
please click on more… where it appears for detailed information. Casino Bonuses, Frames &
Targets, Money Management. Vital to any gambling strategy is
having some sort of Money Management philosophy to work to; this can be
greatly aided by setting yourself Frames & Targets. Playing with generous
casino bonuses not only gives you a much better chance of winning, but it
also helps to control your play. Using the calendar month &
Casino Bonus wagering requirements (WR) gives us a '(time) Frame' to work
within & a '(wagering) Target' to aim at. It gives structure to our
gambling and most importantly, a stopping point. For example: A 100$ 100%
bonus with a WR of Bx20 ($2,000); Take the bonus at any time during
a month, and the first target is to finish the WR by the end of that
month while losing as little of the bonus as possible. However, it is vitally
important not to rush – impatient gamblers rarely win in the long run. When we have completed the
wagering requirements was can decide what to do next. These decisions will be influenced on how
the overall month is looking (including all the casinos being played). If towards the end of the month it is
looking tight (only a small profit) we will take what we have & wait for
the next month. (Remember, the prime target is just to not lose in any
month). If we are well up we may risk a
bit of the profit to see if we can win even more, but we are careful not to
risk too much (say about 20% max). Money Management Money Management gives further targets
which limits potential loss amount in a given month, but with no limit to how
much can be won! Per Casino Limits: The first
limiter is how much is needed to deposit for the bonus we’re claiming. Say we take a bonus on a $100 deposit, and
suffer a complete blow out – we will not deposit more to try to win our money
back, instead we will move on to a different casino, different bonus. So the most that can be lost at that casino
is $100 – but of course, there is no limit to how much that could be won if
we get really lucky! Per Game Limits: Before
playing any game we set targets on how much we are prepared to lose and
how much we are prepared to win. The
maximum loss is easily understood – if we’re having a bad run of luck in a
game we know from experience it does not mean it must turn around & get
better – there is just as much chance of it getting even worse. You may not understand why we have a
‘maximum win’, but remember that the house edge is always against you, so if
you’re ahead it means you have been lucky and are beating the odds. But runs of good luck never go on for ever,
so try to get out before the tide turns the other way. These methods mainly focus on
Bonus Video Slots. It is quite important that you know which these are, more… All the slots featured on this
site are categorised into type by software here:- Slots
Data The fundamental difference between
Online Video Slots and the old style Vegas Slots & Fruit Machines is that
they don’t have the restrictions of physical reels, and therefore can be 100%
random. More… For enjoyable slots play it is
extremely important that you understand Variance & Odds, more… It is equally important to know
what the bonus feature actually does on each slot, more… Our Bonus Video Slot Playing Style The style of play we use is
actually extremely simple, it’s a bit like a roulette progressive betting
method but the key difference is that each spin on a slot is not an ‘all or
nothing’ bet, because you are always getting some return on your bets. This means
you can progress very slowly with a significantly lower overall risk of
losing a fortune. The first & most important
target is; To leave the slot with more credits than we start with. With Bonus Video Slots a large
part of the Return to Customer (Payout %) is from the bonus rounds
themselves; these can easily pay 50x, 100x, or even more x the cost of your
spin. If you don’t get any bonuses rounds the chances are high that you will
end up with a loss. So given that what we want is the
bonus rounds and that on average they occur once every 130 – 150 spins, what
we do is start with small bets & then gradually increase them the longer
we go on. This is based on the theory that the longer we go without the
feature hitting, the more probable it is. See Gamblers
Fallacy… So we play say 100 spins at our
minimum (depending on the slot, our minimum is usually either 2c or 5c per
line). Then we increase the bets in small increments every 25 or 50 spins
e.g. 2c, 4c, 6c, 8c. If we get past
say 250 – 300 spins with no feature, or the bank has dropped by more than our
pre-set limit, we stop & try a different slot. Sometimes we alter the total bet by
changing the number of win-lines as well as, or instead of just changing the
stake/line. And that’s pretty much all there is to it! Note: This method by itself is
not a guaranteed way to win on slots – it’s just the way we like to play. We
feel that it improves our chances, but this can not be backed up
mathematically. It is possible that you are just as likely to be successful
by flat-betting all the time, or using any different betting pattern. Deciding on the starting minimum
bet is something which comes with experience and can be influenced by many factors,
including; How many win-lines the slot has (less lines = bigger bets), the
slot’s variance, how many credits you have, how lucky you feel! We recommend that your starting bet should
be no more than 0.5% of your deposit; e.g. Deposit $100 = starting bet of
50c/spin max. The key to success (as with all
games) is money management - knowing when to stop. Don't lose too much
on one particular game, and quit when
you're ahead & switch to a different game. The stopping point needn’t be getting the
bonus feature as described above; any big win which puts you in profit is
equally good. Like any strategy for
any game you do need a bit of good luck (or at least - not too much bad luck)
and more importantly than anything - you need self-control. For links to actual play logs
showing how successful this strategy can be, Click Here. If you are wagering for a bonus
don’t forget to record how much you have wagered and make sure you have met
the amount required in the terms of the bonus, more… And finally… The philosophy here at
SlotBeaters is not to go out & just ruthlessly play casino bonuses for
profit as if it’s some kind of boring job, but to experience the
entertainment & fun of playing slots for real money, but without the risk
of losing a fortune. We have been making regular (small) profits from playing
slots for years, and there is no reason why anyone else with a bit of self
control can’t do the same. Disclaimer The free information on this page

info accessed by links above There are literary thousands of
different online slots which can be quite bewildering to the new player, but
they can be broken down into only a handful of different types; Most online slots are traditional
3 or 5 reel type, but different slots have different numbers of pay-lines;- 3-reel; 1, 3 or 5 win lines. 5-reel;
5, 9, 11, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and now even 100 win lines! Then we have different categories
of slots:- Bonus Video; Have one or
more bonus features triggered by getting certain symbols in view. The bonus rounds are normally ‘free-spins’
with a multiplier (eg. 15 free spins with all wins x3), or ‘picks’ where you
click on a number of symbols to reveal a mystery prize, or a combination of
both. Some slots have completely
random features which occur regardless of what is showing on the reels. Progressive Jackpot; Have a
common ‘pool’ of funds contributed to by a number of different slots within
the casino, one type of slots across one casino group, or even ALL casinos of
the same software on the net. This gives a massive jackpot which is usually
won by getting the highest ranking symbols on the highest numbered line
payline on the slot. (e.g. Line 15 on a 15 line slot). Some progressives are also ‘bonus round’
slots and some of these only give the jackpot in the bonus round, while
others still pay as described above. Other Types In addition to the above, you
will also find some more unusual types of slots, for example some have
vertical win-lines as well as the usual horizontal & diagonal ones,
giving us slots with 8, 10 & 18 win-lines. There are even a few slots out
there which have 7 reels, and the fantastic WagerLogic ‘Cubis’ 3-D slot with
15 win-lines in 3 different planes! All the slots featured on this
site are categorised into type by software here:- Slots Data New to Slots? If you’re new to online slots you
really should play all those you like the sound of in ‘practice mode’ before
you play for real money so you know what to expect. All online casinos should give you the
facility to do this. If you’d like to try some slots for
fun, click below to download a casino while you’re reading this page! USA OK > Rival : RTG : 3Dice : Vegas
Technologies : Top game No The first thing to be aware of is
what bet level the slot is on when you initially bring it onto your
screen. The vast majority will NOT be
set at the minimum bet level, but you can manually reduce this using the on-screen
control buttons. Note that the cost
indicator is per line, not per spin! They will also normally be set at
maximum or minimum paylines, which again, you may wish to change. E.g. Some people like to play 25
line slots using only 9 or 15 paylines for various reasons, including making their
money last longer! Many casinos’ have ‘autoplay’ so
you don’t get finger ache clicking that mouse button. MG’s is the best (access by hitting the
‘expert’ button) because you can set it to stop if you hit a big win! You will find the pay-out tables by
clicking on a button somewhere on the screen. Because Video Slots do not have
physical reels, this allows the slots to have ‘weighted’ reels and be truly
random. This is done in one of two ways; a) The reels on a slot do not all
have the same number of symbols on them but each reel still stops in a
completely random position. (E.g. On
Tomb Raider the reels have 24, 28, 34, 40 & 40 symbols. So the chances of getting the scatter symbol
on reel one is 3 in 24, but on reel five it is 3 in 40). b)
The reels all have the same number of symbols, but the odds of each
one appearing is different. E.g. Each reel could have just 10
symbols on it, but it is programmed so that the jackpot symbol only appears Neither of these ways of
weighting means the machine is ‘rigged’ – the results of each spin is still
entirely random, and this weighting just makes for more playing excitement. Note: Any slots described as ‘UK
Style Fruit Machines’ or ‘AWP’ are NOT random in the way described above. Many card-playing gamblers who
never play slots can't understand how you can profit from games with high
variance and 95% payouts, but you can! Slots are no different from any
other casino game - the house edge is always against you no matter what you
play. With all games you will have
good luck and bad luck – it’s what you do with that luck which makes all the
difference! What is Variance? Quite simply this is the ‘swings
in fortune’ you experience when playing any game. Imagine something like a Roulette
wheel, but with only 20 sectors on it; 19 Blue & 1 Green. If there was a game you could
play on it where you place a bet and if the ball landed in blue you got your
money back, but hit green and you lost, this would be zero variance (and a
totally pointless game to play!) But if the rules were that you
lost if you hit blue, but won your bet x 19 if it went in green this would be
extremely high variance. In both instances the payout
percentage would be 95%, but in the first case you could never win anything
no matter how long you played, while in the second case a short run of hitting
the winning sector 2 or 3 times in a short space of time would enable you to
leave the game with a nice profit.
Conversely you could have a very long run of losing and go bust. Basically then Variance = Risk. When playing the strategy
described on this page; on high variance slots it’s better to start with
smaller bets, and vice versa. Knowing your odds Like all casino games, slots have
a house edge – that is to say over an infinite time they pay out less than
100% of what they take in. This varies
from one slot to another but is typically somewhere between 94-97%. Hitting a jackpot on a slot is
quite literally millions to 1 against, but you don’t need to hit the jackpot
to make a profit – all you need is one decent win, or a string of smaller
wins. This is why our preference is for the Bonus Video Slots because the
bonus features can potentially pay very large wins compared to the cost of
the spin (wins of 100 or more x bet are fairly common). To make use of this you also need
to know what the chances of actually getting the bonus is, because if you’re
not hitting the bonus rounds, the chances of profiting are very slim. No casinos I know of publish this
information, and so this has to be worked out by tediously plotting out the
reel layouts for each slot & then applying some fairly simple
mathematics. One slot takes many, many
hours to analyse, which is why this site was launched with accurate data on
only a handful of slots, but more will be slowly added over time. Our research to date shows that
bonus features are triggered anywhere between once in 50 – 160 spins
depending on the slot in question, these figures are listed out here:- MG Slots
Data These vary from one slot to
another, but typically bonus rounds are usual triggered either by getting
certain ‘Scatter’ symbols on certain reels, or by getting a set number of
consecutive symbols on a winline. The
bonus itself is usually either a pre-set or random number of ‘free-spins’
(anything from 1 to 100 spins), usually with a multiplier which increases the
value of your wins by anything from x2 to x25! Or it’s ‘picks’ when you
select from a number of symbols on the screen to reveal random prizes. Some slots combine the two; you pick
symbols that give you a random number of free-spins! Note that while it is possible to get very
big wins from the bonus rounds, it is also possible on many slots to get
close to, or actually nothing! (This is VERY rare). The Jackpot on most video slots
is getting 5 ‘wild’ symbols on a winline.
On progressive slots these 5 wilds have to be on a particular winline
(normally the highest available; e.g. line 15 on a 15-line slot). The Gamblers Fallacy The idea that the longer an event
goes without occurring means it is more likely to happen in the near future
is what the “experts” call The Gamblers Fallacy. For the purposes of this explanation
let’s assume that we have a standard Roulette wheel, but with the Zero filled
in. Therefore the chances of spinning Black or Red is precisely 50/50. The fallacy is that if we spun
the wheel 10 times & got 10 Reds, the next spin is more likely to be
Black. I think anyone will know this is not the case; since each spin in an
independent random event, the chance of Black on the next spin is still
50/50, exactly the same as for any spin in the past or the future. However, what are the chances of
spinning 10 of the same colour in a row? After the first spin produces,
lets say Red; the odds of the next 9 spins also being red are 29 =
1 in 512. In other words, if we sat and
spun the wheel 512 times, the mathematical odds are that we would see a run of
ten (or more) of the same colour just once. So we believe that any given run
of 10 spins during the 512 spins is way more likely to produce a mixture of
Reds and Blacks than it is to be 10 results all the same colour. We’re not
telling anyone else what to believe – you have to make your own mind up. This is not to say we believe
Martingaling (doubling your bets on a colour until it hits) is a valid system
for betting on Roulette; it is definitely not. This system does not work on
Roulette due to 2 key factors; a) The tables always have a betting limit
which prevents you from doubling up indefinitely. And b) By doubling every
spin you can quickly end up betting 100s of chips just to make a profit of 1
chip. Just one “blow out” will cost an absolute fortune compared to the
potential gain of the win. The majority of online casinos
have very poor, or even non-existent game logs where players can check how much
they’ve wagered. Therefore it’s a very good idea to keep tabs as you go
along. The easiest way is to use a
spreadsheet which is set up like the example below. To show how this is filled in, we have
colour coded it; Blue is the data you need to
enter as you play and Red are cells with formulas which automatically
calculate the wagering for you. The
cells at the top are fixed so you can always see where you are in the WR:-
